Discovery Institute: Another Epic Fail

March 22nd, 2008 midwifetoad Posted in News |

Bruce Chapman, writing for the Discovery Institute, can’t seem to get his talking points right. After an  embarrassed silence over the PZ Myers/Richard Dawkins imbroglio at the Expelled  showing, the Creative minds of the blogosphere decided the best course of action was to accuse Myers and Dawkins of gate crashing.

Amazingly, the best selling Oxford scientist/author Richard Dawkins also crashed a showing of Expelled  in Minnesota last night and he not only was let in, but introduced at the end of the showing.

Unfortunately the formerly monolithic anti-evolution movement includes Kevin Miller, the writer for ExpelledWho seems to be susceptible to reality.

I did not realize that there was an online form for people to sign up and reserve a spot. (I’m the writer, so I’m not really privy to the marketing side of things.) So if PZ followed the correct procedures, why was he still kicked out? I’ll let the producers of Expelled speak to that–which they will do shortly. And trust me, it’s not because they were afraid of him.

As for me, I would like to apologize to PZ for the misinformation on my blog. Contrary to several of the comments posted here, I am not ordinarily a contemptible liar.

Kevin was also nice enough to post the Toad’s Epic Fail graphic.

Is anybody surprised? When did the DI PR hacks ever tell the truth?

  2. Somewhat susceptible to reality, but not susceptible to criticism. I posted a comment on one of his articles and it got deleted. He apparently does not like to hear that plagiarism does not just stop at stealing original footage.

Well, it looks like PZ Myers did the only thing he could do. After being falsely accused of crashing the screening, he ACTUALLY crashed their conference call.

Oh yeah, and someone got it on tape!
