“Plunges?” “Goes down?” It’s not a commercial flop, it’s the 13th highest ranked documentary of all time. You just didn’t give it the right *sssssssspinnnnnnnn*

“Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed,” the pro-intelligent design documentary featuring actor Ben Stein, made history this weekend as it skyrocketed into place as the 13th highest grossing documentary film of all time. Since its release on April 18, the film has earned an astounding $6.6 million while only in its 3rd week in the box office.

Since documentary films are few and far between, methinks 13th isn’t really that big a deal…
And does that include concert films or IMAX documentaries? Between watching a Rolling Stones concert film directed by Martin Scorcese and watching the host of “Are You Smarter Than a Super Model” drone for two hours on specious historical and theological beliefs, which would you choose?
